Our SCAD Pro (48 Hour) Challenge teamed up with the Atlanta Police Department and the City of Atlanta. The student teams researched and designed the newest generation of police cruisers for the city. The final, winning, design incorporated symbolism connecting the city’s 6 wards, the history of its rising from the ashes, and the APDs mission and the Mayors vision for Atlanta. The design also makes the cruisers visible and approachable.
Congratulations the the winning team and to all the students who participated and to the city of Atlanta.
SCAD Pro is dedicated to building a diverse team of student designers and challenged with solving design problems for Fortune 500, Fortune 100 companies among other design challenges. This project presented a unique opportunity for the students and on a real timeline. The final design went into production within 10 days of completing the final mechanicals.
The Mayor and the Chief of Police unveiled the designs and new city program. It was thrilling to be a part of such an incredible program.
